Your OS version history's left me scratching my head here. <w>
1, Assuming you purchased a McAfee subscription and a McAfee application was always installed while you were running Vista, was your subscription still current when you 'when you 'upgraded to Win8?' Mcafee was on vista and when I went to win 8 I did not re-install it
2. Was Win7 ever installed and if so, was it an upgrade or did you format the HDD & do a clean install of Win7? ...what, if any, third-party anti-virus application was installed when you were running Win7? Windows 7 was never on this laptop, purchased it with vista on it
3. Did you purchase Win8 or...? yes
